WHAT'S NEWS AT SUE'S

Our hours have changed at Sue’s. We are open from 12:00pm-6:00am, seven days a week. We are available between 6:00am and Noon by appointment only. If you know you are going to be stopping by between 6:00am and Noon, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you. Our phone number is 775-777-2088.

Halloween October 31st – I have to say that I have personally always enjoyed Halloween. It’s always fun to dress up and be someone else for the night. For some of us that might mean a scary or goofy costume and for others it might mean the wild side we can only let out once a year. Come by and enjoy some adult treats with us and we’ll help you find your wild side.

Nevada Day October 31st – Celebrate Nevada’s history. Nevada became a state (was admitted to the Union) October 31, 1864. The longest Morse Code telegram ever sent was the Nevada State Constitution. Here is a link that will allow you to look up some other fun facts about Nevada, http://www.nevadaday.com/pages/history.html. Nevada day is officially observed on the last Friday in October.

November 11th – Veteran’s Day Please be sure to support all of our past and current troops that have supported our country. The commitments made by these men and women of the past and today allow us to enjoy the many freedoms that we sometimes forget we have. Whether we agree with the cause that sends our troops out or not, these men and women are serving our country and they deserve our honor and respect.

November 26th- Thanksgiving The first “Thanksgiving” that we all think of dates back to 1621 in Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts. Over 200 years later, President Lincoln declared the final Thursday in November as a national holiday of thanksgiving. Congress made Thanksgiving Day an official holiday in 1941. Today Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. Although it was originally known as the Macy’s Christmas Parade- the first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in New York City in 1924. I just thought everyone might enjoy some Thanksgiving facts and trivia.
